You will receive the error Working days greater than contract days in period if an employee's contract days are fewer than the working pattern days during the period you need to add leave for.
β
For example, the employee might have 3 contract days but 5 working days on the working pattern. Because of this, when adding leave, the system calculates too many working days when compared to the employee's contract.
Check if the employee's contract days are entered correctly
Go to the employee's profile, in Payroll and then Pay.
You will see the number of contract days in the Basic Pay section.
If this is incorrect, click Pay History and amend the latest salary line. Click the line, edit the value in the Contract Days field and save.
Check the employee's working pattern
Go to the employee's profile and click Employment.
Select Working Pattern from the menu on the right.
If the pattern is incorrect, click Edit.
Click Add Working Pattern History.
Add the start date of this working pattern and select the template from the Working Pattern dropdown list.
Click Save.
Once the number of contract days per week matches the number of days on the working pattern, you will be able to add leave without any errors.
β
You can also enter the number of working days manually when adding leave:
On the employee's profile, click Absence and then Leave.
Click Add Leave.
Select the absence category and enter the first and last day of leave.
Make sure that the Use Working Pattern checkbox is not checked.
Manually enter the number of days during that time range in the Working Days field and click Submit.
