Error: 'Leave or Sickness already booked in this date range' when adding leave

Follow the steps in this article if an employee receives the error 'Leave or Sickness already booked in this date range' when adding leave.

When adding leave or sickness to an employee's record you will not be able to create several leave entries in the same date range.

If you are receiving the error message 'Leave or Sickness already booked in this date range' when adding leave, check the employee's Leave and Sickness pages:

  1. Search for the employee and go to their profile.

  2. Click Absence, then Leave.

  3. Click the entry that is in the same date range as the leave you are trying to add.

    • If this absence is incorrect you can either change its start and end dates or delete it, after which you will be able to add the other absence.

  4. Click Sickness and check the entries on this page as well.

  5. Edit or delete any sicknesses that are incorrect.
