The Access Education People software does not allow users to delete an effective date once it has been created on a negotiating body.

However, you can match the values from the previous effective date so that no change is made to employees' pay and then add the correct effective date when needed.

For example, if you have created a new effective date of 01/04/2025 that should've instead been 01/09/2025, you can add the same values for 01/04/2025 as on the previous date and then create a new one for 01/09/2025.

Following the example above, the steps would be:

  1. Go to Setup and click Settings.

  2. Click Module Settings and then Payroll Settings.

  3. Click Pay Grade and Payscale.

  4. Click the arrow icon on the negotiating body.

  5. Select the effective date 01/04/2025.

  6. Click on Edit.

  7. Amend the values so that they match the previous effective date. For example, this could be 01/09/2024.

  8. Click Save and push out the changes.

  9. Click New and create the effective date 01/09/2025 with the correct values.

This will mean that you will have two duplicated effective dates with the same values, which ensures that the employees' pay will not change.
