When uplifting a negotiating body it is important to select one of the options below:

  • Override approval and push out changes now

  • Salary changes will require approval by the configured approver - for example, performance based changes

Once you choose an option and click Save, all employees who are on this negotiating body will have a new salary line generated with the effective date of the uplift.

If an employee does not have a line generated this may be due to them already having a salary line with the same effective date.

To resolve this, make sure the employee is on the correct negotiating body and then generate the line manually.

Check the negotiating body

  1. Search for the employee and go to their profile.

  2. Click Employment, then Position.

  3. Click Post Details.

  4. Click Edit in the Pay Details area.

  5. Select the correct option in the Negotiating Body field.

  6. Select the correct lower to upper grades and payscales.

  7. Click Save.

Add the line manually

Once you've made sure the settings on the post are correct:

  1. Search for the employee and go to their profile.

  2. Click Payroll, then Pay.

  3. Click Pay History.

  4. If there is a line there with the effective date of the uplift, click it.

  5. If the new value of the payscale is displayed on this page, click Save and it will update the salary for the employee.

  6. If the value is outdated, click Delete.

  7. Go back to Pay and click Change Basic Pay.

  8. Add in the effective date of the uplift.

  9. Select the correct payscale, add in the contracted days and hours and click Save.
