To change an employee's basic pay, follow the steps below:
Search for the employee and go to their profile.
Click the Payroll tab and click Change Basic Pay.
Add in the effective date for the new salary.
Select the details of the salary, such as the Grade, Payscale, Contract Days and Contract Hours.
Click Save.
π Note: You will not be able to change an employee's basic pay with an effective date that is previous to the employee's latest salary line. To check the latest salary line, go to Pay History and check the date of the salary line at the top.
If you need to add a salary line that is previous to the employee's current pay:
Search for the employee and go to their profile.
Go to Payroll and click Pay.
Select Pay History.
Click on an existing salary line to make changes to it or click Add Payment (Admin - Unrestricted) to add a new salary line.

Below are the permissions needed to see the Change Basic Pay button and edit salaries:
Employee Administration: Salaries (view, add, edit)
Wages: Hourly
Wages: Salary
Wages: Shift
Wages: Fixed Weekly
