An employee's salary will depend on the payment settings set up on their post. If these settings are incorrect or if the values on the negotiating body have been entered in error, the employee's salary will not be accurate.
Check the employee's post
First, make sure the employee is in the correct post and that the post has the correct pay details set up:
Search for the employee and go to their profile.
Click Employment, then Position.
Click Post Details.
Scroll down to Pay Details and click Edit.
Make sure the correct negotiating body has been selected for this post.
Select the correct lower to upper grades and payscales.
Click Save.
Check the negotiating body values
Next, check if the negotiating body selected on the employee's post has the correct values:
Click Setup, then Settings.
Click Module Settings, then Payroll Settings.
Click Pay Grade and Payscale.
Click the arrow next to the negotiating body selected on the post.
Select the relevant effective date from the Effective Date dropdown.
If the values are incorrect, scroll down and click Edit.
Amend the payscale values as needed, then click Save.
Check the current salary line
Finally, check the details added on the current salary line:
Search for the employee and go to their profile.
Click Payroll, then Pay.
Click Pay History.
Select the current salary line.
Make sure the correct grade and payscale are selected.
Make sure the correct number of contracted days and contracted hours are added.
If needed, enter the correct term time fraction.
Click Save.
π€ Tip: The current salary line will have the latest effective date. There may be other salary lines with effective dates that are in the future, but these are not yet in effect.
