Unable to transfer employee as no grade or payscale appear in the Salary screen

Follow these steps if you are unable to change an employee's post due to the Payscale and Grade fields being blank.

If you are transferring an employee's post and cannot proceed past the Salary screen because the Grade and Payscale fields are blank, it is possible the post you are transferring them to is missing pay details.

To resolve this:

  1. Click Admin Menu, then Post Setup.

  2. Search for the post in which you need to transfer the employee and click on it.

  3. Scroll down to Pay Details and click Edit.

  4. Select the payroll and negotiating body as needed.

  5. Select the lower to upper grades as well as payscales.

  6. Click Save.

Once this is set up correctly, go back to the employee's profile and start the transferring process again.
