If you have clicked the Reset Password on an employee's profile, they should receive an email with a temporary password. If they haven't, it's possible that their email address has been entered incorrectly or the settings in the system have been set up incorrectly.
β οΈ Important: This article relates to changing an employee's password on Access Education People. If the user needs to reset their password for Access Evo, the process is different and you will need to follow the steps in our article on resetting an employee's password.
Check the employee's email address
Make sure that the correct email address has been added for the employee in order for the email to be sent correctly.

If the user is a current employee, check their work email address:
Go to the employee's profile and click Employment.
Go to Position and scroll to Work Contact.
Click Edit.
Make sure the correct email has been added in the Work/Workspace Email Address field and click Save.
If the user is a leaver that has already been terminated, check their personal email address:
Go to the employee's profile and click Person.
Click Profile.
Click Edit in the Contact section.
Make sure the correct personal email address has been added and click Save.
Check that the email is enabled in Settings
Go to Setup and click Settings.
Click System Settings and click Global.
Search for People logon Emails Enabled and click it.
In the Boolean field, select True and click Save.
Once the above has been completed, go back to the employee's profile and click Reset Password. The email will now be sent from the system to their email address.
