  8. Return to Access Education People and click Check Permissions.

  9. Review the information and click Save.

Data Match Process

Once the API is in a Ready state, you can begin the one-time process of data matching by clicking on Start Matching Process.

Please make sure all staff have their NI number added on both Education People and in your MIS, as the systems will attempt to match staff members using their NI number.

⚠️ Warning: If you close the wizard without completing it, any options you have selected will be lost.

  1. Assign an MIS gender to each gender on Education People and click Next.

  2. Match the titles.

    • The list on the left are the titles set up on Education People and the one on the right is from your MIS. It is possible to assign the same title to two different titles stored on People.

  3. Match the ethnicities and click Next.

  4. Match the absence categories and click Next.

  5. Match the business roles and click Next.

    • At this point, Education People and the MIS will begin matching staff members. This step is automatic and does not require input from you.

After the above process is completed you should see your MIS Integration now has the status of Active.
