Absence start and end times
If you intend to use the Arbor integration to submit absence and leave data to your MIS, to allow you to arrange cover for your absent staff, it is strongly recommended that you enable absence and leave start times.
Click Setup and then Settings.
Click System Settings and select Global.
Search for Record Start And End Times for Absences.
Check the Boolean option and select True from the dropdown list.
Click Save.
To make the start and end times mandatory when adding leave:
Click Setup and then Settings.
Click System Settings and select Global.
Search for Set Absences Start and End Times as Mandatory.
Set the Boolean value to True and click Save.
📌 Note: Once 'Set Absences Start and End Times as Mandatory' is set to true you will need to check the Part Day checkbox next to the ‘First Date’ and ‘Last Date’ fields for the ‘Start Time’ and ‘End Time’ fields to appear respectively. The fields expect the 24 hour format e.g. 13:00 or 1300.
Managing MIS IDs
This section is optional, and is recommended only for more advanced users.
In order for the integration between PeopleHR and Arbor to work, we must store the various IDs retrieved from the Arbor integration. This will all be done automatically when running the staff matching process which uses NI number to match your staff member between the two systems.
To be able to see the MIS IDs for individual staff members and be able to edit them:
Go to Setup and click Settings.
Go to System Settings and click Global.
Search for Show MIS Ids within User Profile.
Set the Boolean value to True and click Save.
Go to an employee's profile and click Person. You will now see the MIS Integration option on the right.
