Sickness triggers don't trigger correctly

If an employee's sickness triggers are not working correctly, it's possible the previous ones haven't been resolved.

Trigger not progressing to level 2

All triggers need to be resolved before any more are triggered.

If an employee has triggered level 1 then this needs to be resolved before level 2 will trigger.

To resolve a sickness trigger:

  1. Search for the employee and go to their profile.

  2. Click Absence and then Sickness Triggers.

  3. Click the level 1 trigger.

  4. Select an option from the Resolution Type dropdown.

  5. Enter a date in the Resolution Date field.

  6. Click Save.

Trigger 1 getting generated multiple times

If the first level trigger has the Or More box ticked, this will continue to get triggered instead of progressing to the next level.

For example: If the 1st level trigger is set up at 10 consecutive days in 12 months but also has the Or More box ticked, this will get generated again when the employee exceeds the 10 absences.

To correctly set this up, please make sure that the trigger does not have the Or More box ticked:

  1. Go to Setup, then Settings.

  2. Click Module Settings, then HR.

  3. Click Absence Trigger and select the trigger in question.

  4. Untick the Or More box and click Save.

πŸ“Œ Note: The system recalculates trigger levels based on the resolution date of the last resolved trigger. It checks for sickness absences that occur after this resolution date, which means the recalculation depends on the timing of new absences relative to the last resolution date.
