To set up sickness triggers:
Go to Setup and click Settings.
Select Module Settings and then HR.
Click Absence Trigger and then Add Absence Trigger.
Enter the name of the trigger in the Description field.
Choose between Days or Instances:
If you need this to trigger based on the number of sickness days, add a value in the Days field.
If you need this to trigger based on the number of sickness instances, add a value in the Instances field.
Tick the Or More box if needed. For example, if you have added '3' in the Instances field but also ticked the Or More box, this will trigger first at 3 instances and continue to get triggered at 4 instances, 5 instances etc.
Tick the Bradford Factor Trigger box if you need this to trigger based on the Bradford Factor rather than days or instances.
Select the time period from the Trigger Period dropdown.
Select the level from the Trigger Level dropdown.
You have the option to send an email or create a task for the line manager by ticking the Email Line Manager or Create Task for Line Manager boxes.
The Obsolete box only needs to be ticked when the trigger is no longer needed in the system.
Once complete, click Save.
π Note: On the absence trigger settings page it is only possible to set up an email that goes to the employee's line manager. If you need to create a separate email with a different email recipient please refer to our article on sickness trigger notifications.
