Auto approve new starters

This article provides the steps to automatically approve new starters.

By default, new starters in all posts will need to be approved by their line manager in order to have an active employment and receive payments.

Set new starters to Auto Approve

  1. Click Admin Menu, then Post Setup.

  2. Search for a post using the Quick Search field and click on it.

  3. Click Approval, then Approvers.

  4. Click Edit next to New Employments.

  5. Disable the Approval Required toggle at the top of the page so that it's set to Approval Not Required.
    ​

  6. Click Save.

Once this is completed, all new starters that are added from this point forwards will be approved automatically.


Auto approve new starters that have already been sent to an approver

If you have added a new starter and then edited the post's details to set new employments to Auto Approve, the new starter will still require approval.

To resolve this:

  1. Set the post's new employments to Auto Approve by following the steps above.

  2. Search for the new starter and go to their profile.

  3. Click on the traffic lights at the top of the page.
    ​

  4. Click Re-Submit.

  5. Refresh the browser page and the employment will now be approved.
