When an employee tries several times to log in with invalid credentials, their account will get temporarily locked.
β οΈ Important: This article relates to a user's account being locked in Access Education People. If the user receives a similar message when logging in to Access Evo, this will be a separate issue related to Access Evo.
Change the number of attempts before locking
To change the number of attempts before accounts get locked:
Click Setup and then click Settings.
Click System Settings and then click Global.
Search Password Policy - Maximum Log In Attempts and select this setting.
Change the value in the Integer field.
Unlock an account
To unlock an employee's account:
Search for the employee and go to their profile.
Click Person and then click Profile.
Click Unlock.
If the account always reverts to being locked shortly after unlocking it, please reach out to us via the Digital Assistant and request to speak to an agent. Please provide us with the employee name and number so we can investigate further.
π Note: The Unlock button will only be displayed if an employee's profile is locked. You will not have this option if the account is not locked.
Permission to unlock accounts
You will only be able to unlock accounts once you have the permission called 'Password Unlock' (User Administration - Password Unlock). This permission can be added for you by any user with System Owner rights by following the steps below:
Search for the employee and go to their profile.
Click Security and then Permissions.
Click Edit Employee Permissions and search Password Unlock.
Click the thunderbolt icon and then click Save.
