SMP and OMP mean Statutory Maternity Pay and Occupational Maternity Pay.
When going to an employee's Maternity, Paternity & Adoption page under Leave you will see two boxes that can be ticked:
Entitled To SMP
Entitled To OMP
Checking either of the above boxes will not export to Payroll and is purely informational on the Education People system. It will not affect how the employee is paid.
⚠️ Important: SMP and OMP will need to be discussed with your Payroll Agent. How SMP or OMP are paid cannot be set from the Education People software and will need to be looked at in the Payroll system.
