Error: 'Continuous service date cannot be later than the start date for all the employments'

When adding a continuous service date for an employee, you will get the message 'Continuous service date cannot be later than the start date for all the employments' if the date you've added is after the start date of the employee's employment.

The continuous service date for an employee needs to be prior to their start date. The Access Education People software does not allow users to add this date later than the employee's start date.

To check an employee's start date:

  1. Search for an employee and go to their profile.

  2. Click Employment and then Position.

  3. Scroll down to the Employment area.

    • The employment's start date will be displayed in the Start Date field.

If the employee has several employments, navigate between them by clicking on Switch Employment at the top of the page. Each employment will have its own start date. Switch between employment to find out which start date is the earliest. The continuous start date cannot be added later than this date.
