View approval requests in My Actions

Follow these steps to see which actions require your approval, such as leave, new employments or payroll claims.

Employees who are set up as approvers on Access Education People can view their approval requests in the My Actions menu, which can be accessed in two ways:

  • Click on the Notifications icon in the top right corner of the screen (this looks like a triangle with an exclamation mark, and will display the number of the requests awaiting approval).

  • Click on Manager and select the My Actions option.

Further permissions might be required depending on the type of request that needs approval.

If the employee does not have the icon or the My Actions option under Manager, they will need the permission 'Menu Actions' which can be added to them by following the steps in our article on adding permissions.

⚠️ Important: The Notifications icon will only be visible when the user has pending requests awaiting their approval. If there are no pending requests they will not see this icon even if they have all the correct permissions.
