Add an additional employment for an employee

Employees can have several employments under one profile. Follow the steps in this article to create an additional employment.

An employee can have multiple employments linked on the same Education People profile. When setting up an additional employment, this will generate a new employee number without affecting the number of the other employments.

To set up an additional employment:

  1. Search for the employee and go to their profile.

  2. Click Add Additional Employment at the top of the screen.

  3. Select the post from the organisational structure and click Next.

  4. Enter the start date of the new employment in the Start Date field.

  5. On the Payment screen, select the grade and pay scale the employee needs to be on.

  6. On the Confirmation screen, make sure to select the correct approver from the Approver dropdown list.

  7. Click Submit.
