Amend an additional payment that has been sent to payroll

Follow these steps if you need to change the pay element, value or dates on a payment or deduction that has been sent to Payroll.

Once an additional payment or deduction has been sent to Payroll you can no longer amend it on Access Education People. This is because the payment has already been exported and changing its details on HR will not affect them in Payroll.

To check if the payment has been sent to Payroll:

  1. Search for the employee and go to their profile.

  2. Click Payroll, then Pay.

  3. Scroll down to Additions to Basic Pay or Deductions from Basic Pay as needed.

    • If the payment's status is Sent to Payroll, this can no longer be edited.

    • If the payment's status is Not Sent to Payroll you can click on the Edit button and amend it as needed.

To amend a payment that has been sent to payroll please use our Digital Assistant and ask to speak to an agent, then provide us with all the details of the payment and what will need to be changed.
