What's new

Enhanced Filtering Options for Custom Reporting

We are excited to introduce new filtering options for Custom Reporting, designed to improve user experience and data management. These enhancements allow users to filter date columns more effectively, making it easier to analyse absences and leaves.

New filtering features

  • Filter by Blank Entries

    • Functionality: Users can now select 'Blank' from the filter options for any date column.

    • Use Case: This feature is particularly useful for identifying absences that lack an end date, allowing for better tracking and management of ongoing absences.

  • Filter by Specific Dates

    • Before: Users can select the 'Before' option and choose a specific date. This will return all entries where the date is before (and inclusive of) the selected date.

    • After: Similarly, the 'After' option allows users to select a specific date, returning all entries where the date is after (and inclusive of) the selected date.

  • Relative Date Filters

    • After Today: Users can now filter for entries with date values that are today or later by selecting the 'After Today' option. This helps in identifying future absences or leaves.

    • Before Today: Conversely, the 'Before Today' option allows users to filter for entries with date values that are today or earlier, aiding in the review of past absences.

  • Saving Filtered Reports

    • Persistent Filters: When users select any of the above date filter options and save the report, the selected filter will be retained. This means that users can easily pull up the report at a later date with the filters already applied, streamlining the reporting process.

Benefits

  • Enhanced Data Analysis: These new filtering options provide users with greater flexibility and precision in analysing absence and leave data.

  • Improved Efficiency: By allowing users to save their filter selections, we reduce the time spent reapplying filters for future reports.

  • User-Friendly Experience: The intuitive design of the filtering options ensures that users can quickly and easily find the information they need.
