Create and assign working pattern templates

Follow the steps in this article to create a new working pattern template and assign it to an employee or post.

Create a working pattern template

To create a new working pattern template:

  1. Go to Setup and click Settings.

  2. Select Module Settings.

  3. Select HR and then Working Pattern Template.

  4. Click Add Working Pattern Template.

  5. Enter a name for your template in the Name field.

  6. Select a type from the Type field.

    • Continental Shift in Days: You can choose which days the employee works and when the pattern will repeat.

    • Continental Shift in Hours: You can choose which days the employee works, how many hours per day and when the pattern will repeat.

    • Continental Shift in Shifts: You can choose which days the employee works, which shift per day and when the pattern will repeat.

    • Day of Week in Days: Will allow you to choose on which days of the week the employee is working, but not add further details.

    • Day of Week in Hours: Will allow you to enter the number of hours worked on each day of the week.

    • Day of Week in Shifts: Will allow you to select a shift for each day of the week.

    • Simple Hours / Simple Ad-Hoc: Simple Patterns always follow the same day no matter what the system says is the first day of the week. So Monday is always a Monday.

  7. Once the details are filled in, click Save.


Adding a working pattern to an employee

  1. Go to the employee's profile and click Employment.

  2. Click Working Pattern.

  3. Click Edit.

  4. To add a working pattern starting with today's date, select a template from the Template dropdown list and click Save.

  5. To add a working pattern starting with a specific date, click Add Working Pattern History.

  6. Add the start date and select the working pattern template, then click Save.


Adding a working pattern to a post

  1. Go to Admin Menu and select Post Setup.

  2. Search for the post and click it.

  3. Click Working Pattern from the menu on the left.

  4. Click Edit.

  5. To add a single working pattern template, select Single and choose the template.

  6. To add templates for specific point in time, select History.

  7. Add in the start date for each template and click Save.
