When setting up an employee's line manager you will receive the message 'No circular reporting allowed, please select a post that doesn't report to this post already' if the line manager already reports to the employee in question, or someone else higher up in the hierarchy.
You cannot set up two posts so that they report to each other.
To resolve this you will need to either select a different post as the line manager or check if the line manager has an incorrect approver.
