Set up anonymisation of leaver data

Follow these steps to set up how many months the system will keep terminated staff data until it's removed or anonymised.

You can determine how long the system keeps leaver data before removing it or anonymising it by going to the GDPR menu.

⚠️ Warning: Changing these settings will apply to all users on the system. Keep in mind when making changes that we will not be able to recover data once it's been anonymised or deleted.

To set up anonymisation:

  1. Go to Setup, then GDPR.

  2. Go to GDPR - Period of time until Anonymised.

  3. Enter the number of months in the Integer field.

    • By default this will be set to 36 months (3 years until leaver data is anonymised).

  4. Go to GDPR - Period of time until removed.

  5. Enter the number of months in the Integer field.

    • By default this will be set to 72 months (6 years until leaver data is deleted).
