This error is caused by there not being enough retrospective or future absence periods set up on the employee's absence period scheme.

The error you will receive will have the below message:

accesspeople. accessacloud. com says

Error : for URL=/SchoolName/HR/LeaveCarryForward/CarryForward?
employmentId=XXXX XXXX XXXX
ErrorStatus=error, ErrorThrown=Internal Server Error

To resolve this:

  1. Go to Setup, then Settings.

  2. Click Module Settings, then HR.

  3. Click Absence Period Schemes.

  4. Click the relevant scheme, then Add Period.

  5. Create the period necessary for bringing forward or carrying forward.

  6. Click Save.

Once this is done, make sure that the correct carry forward settings have been set up:

  1. Go to Setup and click Settings.

  2. Click Module Settings and then HR.

  3. Click Leave Carry Forward and then Add Leave Carry Forward.

  4. Enter the effective date and the months to take into consideration.

  5. Enter the maximum number of days and hours that can be carried forward.

  6. Click Save.
