The mileage feature on Access Education People uses Bing Maps to calculate journey miles, which may differ from Google Maps or not take into consideration diversions on other route planners.
However, it is possible to manually adjust the Journey Miles:
Go to Self Service and select My Expenses.
Click Add Mileage and enter your journey details.
The value will automatically be calculated and displayed in the Journey Miles field.
Click this field to manually change its value.
Once you enter a new value, the Adj Reason dropdown list will be available.
Click the dropdown to select the adjustment reason.
