When adding a mileage claim from Self Service, the journey miles will be calculated based on the details you add. This feature uses Bing Maps and may not be calculated as expected.
To be able to do this you will need the permission called 'Can Manually Edit Total Miles' which can be added to you by your manager or any System Owner user following the steps in our article on adding permissions.
It is possible to manually adjust the Journey Miles value by following the steps below:
Go to Self Service and select My Expenses.
Click Add Mileage and enter your journey details.
The value will automatically be calculated and displayed in the Journey Miles field.
Click this field to manually change its value.
Once you enter a new value, the Adj Reason dropdown list will be available.
Click the dropdown to select the adjustment reason.
Add a new adjustment reason
To add to the list of adjustment reasons:
Go to Setup and click Settings.
Select Module Settings and then Expenses Settings.
Click Mileage Adjustment Reason and then Add Mileage Adjustment Reason.
Enter a new reason and click Save.
