Remove permissions from the employment
If the permissions have been added directly to the person's employment, these can be removed by following the steps below:
Go to the employee's profile and click Security.
Click Permissions, then Edit Employee Permissions.
Click Filters, then Options.
Select Reports and then Filter.
Search for the name of the legacy report you need to remove for this employee.
Click the eye icon so that it's set to red.
Once you disabled all the reports that needed to be removed, click Save.
Remove permissions from the post
If you have followed the steps above and the employee is still able to run the reports, it may be that the permission were added on the post as well as the employment.
When removing permission from a person, this does not remove them from the post as well.
To remove them from the post:
Go to the employee's profile in Employment, then Position.
Click Post Details.
Click Security, then Permissions.
Click Edit.
Click Filters, then Options.
Select Reports and then Filter.
Search for the name of the legacy report you need to remove for this employee.
Click the eye icon so that it's set to red.
Once you disabled all the reports that needed to be removed, click Save.
β οΈ Important: Removing permission from the post will disable them for all employees in this post.
Remove permissions from the role
You will also need to check which roles the employee currently has and remove the permission from the role as well, or remove the role entirely if it's not needed.
To remove the permissions from the role:
Go to the employee's profile and click Security, then Roles.
Roles highlighted in blue are assigned to the employee. Make a note of the roles the employee has.
Go to Setup, then Roles & Permissions.
Search for a role the employee has and click it.
Click Role Permissions, then Edit Permissions.
Click Filters, then Options.
Select Reports and then Filter.
Search for the name of the legacy report you need to remove for this employee.
Click the eye icon so that it's set to red.
Once you disabled all the reports that needed to be removed, click Save.
β οΈ Important: Removing permission from the role will disable them for all employees who have this role assigned.
