View changes in the audit log

Follow these steps to check the audit log for changes made in the system.

Changes made to employee profiles or posts will be displayed in their audit logs.

Permissions needed

To view a post or employee's audit log you will need the permission 'Audit Permission' as well as access to the post or employee in question.

This permission can be added for you by your manager or any System Owner user by following the steps in our article on adding permissions.


Employee audit log

You can see changes made to an employee's profile by following the steps below:

  1. Search for the employee and go to their profile.

  2. Click Security, then Audit Log.

  3. Click any of the lines in the audit log to view more details.

⚠️ Important: There are some changes that will not be displayed in the audit log on the front end. For example, changing an employee's Payroll will not show.


Post audit log

Changes made to posts can be reviewed by following the steps below:

  1. Click Admin Menu, then Post Setup.

  2. Search for a post using the Quick Search field.

  3. Click the post.

  4. Click Security, then Audit Log.
