You can completely remove an employee by deleting their profile or you can choose to remove one or several of their employments while keeping the person in the system.
Permissions needed
The permissions needed to delete an employment or person are
HR Admin - Can Delete Employment.
HR Admin - Delete Person.
These permissions can be added for you by your manager or any System Owner user by following the steps in our article on adding permissions.
Delete a person
⚠️ Warning: Please keep in mind that deleting a person cannot be reverted. Once you click Delete Person, all of the person's employments and data will be erased from the system and we will not be able to reinstate them.
Follow the steps below to delete a person and all of their employments from the system.
To delete a person, follow the below steps:
Search for the employee and go to their profile.
Click Admin and then Admin.
Click Delete Person.
Click Run.
Delete an employment
You can also choose to delete only one of a person's employments.
⚠️ Warning: Once you delete an employment you will not be able to re-instate it unless you create it again and add all its details manually.
To delete an employment:
Search for the employee and go to their profile.
Click Switch Employment at the top of the screen.
Select the employment you want to delete.
Click Admin and then Admin.
Click Delete Employment.
Click Run.
Unable to delete a person
If you are unable to delete an employee, please reach out to us via the Digital Assistant and request to speak to an agent. It is possible that the employee has already been exported to Payroll, which is preventing you from removing their account. In this case, our 2nd line team will need to delete the person from the database.
