When terminating an employee, you may have a Training screen displayed the message 'Termination Training Cost Deduction Pay Element Id setting needs to be defined'.

This is not an error message and will not prevent you from advancing to the next stage of the termination process.

We would not recommend setting this up unless you have been advised to do so and have provided with the correct ID to input in this field. Please keep in mind that the Access Support Team will not be able to provide you with this information.

Set up the ID

To set up the training cost deduction pay element ID:

  1. Go to Setup and click Settings.

  2. Click System Settings, then Global.

  3. Search for Termination Training Cost Deduction Pay Element Id and click it.

  4. Add the ID in the GUID field and click Save.

This will need to be the Pay Element ID for recovering the cost of training when terminating an employment.

Remove the Training termination step

Alternatively, if you do not want to set up the ID and would rather remove the Training section of the termination process:

  1. Go to Setup, then Settings.

  2. Click Field Settings.

  3. Search for Tab-Terminate-Terminate and click it.

  4. Untick the Include box and click Save.

Once this is done, you will no longer see the Training screen when terminating an employee.
