Error: '400 bad request' when exporting a report to Excel

Follow these steps if you are receiving the error '400 bad request' when exporting to Excel.

Clear the browser's cache

If you are using Google Chrome:

  1. Click the three dot menu in the top right corner of the browser.

  2. Click Settings.

  3. Click Privacy and security on the left.

  4. Click Clear browsing data and select All time from the time range dropdown.

  5. Tick the Cached images and files box, then click Clear data.

  6. Close all Google Chrome windows.

  7. Open Google Chrome again and log back in.

If you are using Microsoft Edge:

  1. Click the three dot menu in the top right corner of the browser.

  2. Click Delete Browser Data.

  3. Select All time from the Time range dropdown.

  4. Tick the Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files boxes. You can leave the other boxes unticked.

  5. Click Clear now.

  6. Close all Microsoft Edge windows.

  7. Open Microsoft Edge again and log back in.


Run a Batch Update

  1. Click Setup and select Batch Updates.

  2. Click Clear all user security cache and then Save.

  3. Click Reload All Cache and then Save.
