Error: 'Failed to post' when onboarding employee

Follow these steps if you are having issues onboarding an employee.

You will first need to make sure that the applicant has a date of birth and NI number added:

  1. Go to Recruitment and click Recruitment Talent Pool.

  2. Search for the applicant and click on them.

  3. Enter their date of birth and NI number and save.

Next, make sure to select the correct National Minimum Wage as per the employee's age when adding their pay details. For example, if the employee's age is below 24 but the NMW age range selected for them is 24+, this will result in an error.

Once these details have been added, check that the National Minimum Wage values have been entered correctly on your system for all ages:

  1. Go to Setup and click Settings.

  2. Click Module Settings and then Payroll Settings.

  3. Select National Minimum Wage.

  4. Expand the latest effective date and make sure to add a value for all age ranges, including the age of the applicant. This will ensure that the NMW value can be calculated when setting up the employee's pay details.
