Version 2.77 release notes

Fixes for payslip notifications and roles, plus improvements across absence, employee records and Bromcom sync.

Written by Cristiana Ghinea

Welcome to the version 2.77 release notes. This release focuses on fixes across absence, payroll, recruitment, employee records and Bromcom sync.

What's new

Sickness Manager Comments character limit

You can now enter up to 2,000 characters in Manager Comments on a sickness absence. Previously, the field stopped at 255 characters. The field looks the same as before.

Subject required for teaching qualifications

On the Teaching Qualifications screen, Subject is now mandatory when you add a qualification. This helps prevent errors when records are submitted to Collect.

⚠️Warning: Existing teaching qualifications without a Subject still appear in the grid. When you open one to edit, you must select a Subject before you can save it.

Bug fixes

Payslip and P60 push notifications

Payslip and P60 notifications are now sent to mobile app users when Mobile App - Push Notifications is turned on. Since release 2.60, these notifications failed for customers with push notifications turned on.

Leave page for employees with no absence periods

The Leave page now loads for employees whose absence period scheme has no absence periods set up. The Leave panel shows an empty grid, and Add Leave shows a message that no absence periods are set up.

Sickness approval notifications

Sickness approval notifications are now sent to the approver who has the pending action on the absence. Employees who aren't approvers for the post no longer receive these notifications.

Bromcom contract sync when SWC codes are saved

Saving a post's SWC code now updates the linked employee's contract in Bromcom. Previously, a new or changed SWC code didn't reach Bromcom. If no contract exists in Bromcom, one is now created.

📌Note: This applies to divisions with an active Bromcom integration.

Approve New Starter notification panel

The Approve New Starter panel no longer stays on a loading screen when a new starter's record is missing some data. The panel now opens, and the missing data no longer causes an error.

New starter records created from a post now include the default holiday entitlement. Duplicate holiday entitlement links are no longer created when onboarding is completed.

Payslips on the mobile app

If an employee has more than one payslip for the same pay date, the mobile app now shows a single payslip. This matches the desktop view.

Roles inherited from a post

You can no longer remove a role from an employee if their post still grants that role. Access tells you to change the post's roles instead.

⚠️Important: Roles on a post are copied to everyone in that post. To remove a role from an employee who has it through their post, change the post's roles instead. Removing a role from the post also removes it from every other employee in that post, so add the role back individually to anyone who still needs it.

How to access this update
