Follow these steps if the number of available leave days is incorrect for a part time employee or showing the full time value.
Holiday entitlement template
In first instance, make sure that the employee has the correct template assigned by following the steps in our article on creating and assigning holiday entitlement templates.
Absence period scheme
The number of leave days is also influenced by the absence period scheme, which can be assigned to the employee by following the steps in our article on changing absence period schemes.
You will also need to make sure that the pro-rata option is enabled on the absence scheme's settings:
Go to Setup and click Settings.
Select Module Settings and then HR.
Click Absence Period Schemes and select the relevant scheme.
Click Edit on the relevant line in the next window.
Select the Pro Rata box.
The columns are misaligned, so it appears under End Date.
Enter a date in the Pro Rata End Date field.
This date needs to be one year from the start date.
Example: If the start date is 01/04/2027, the end date will be 31/03/2028.
Click Save.
Contract days
The number of contract days an employee has determines whether they are part time or full time and will affect their holiday entitlement.
To change the employee's contract days follow the steps in our article on changing an employee's contracted days or hours.
π Note: The holiday entitlement will change based on the contract days. Contracted hours do not affect the entitlement.
