You can make changes to the organisation structure if you have created a subsection in the incorrect section.
Permission needed
You will first need the correct permission to be able to edit the subsection you need to move.
Your manager or any System Owner user can add this to your profile by following the steps below:
Go to the profile of the employee who needs to edit the subsection.
Click Security and then Permissions.
Click Edit Employee Permissions.
Search for the name of the subsection.
Click the eye and pencil icons so they are set to green, then click Save.
Move a subsection
Click the search icon in the top right corner of the screen.
Expand the organisation structure and click the name of the subsection that needs to be moved.
Click Edit Subsection.
In the Details menu, click Edit.
Select the correct section from the Section dropdown list and click Save.
📌 Note: If you cannot find the section you need to move the subsection to, you might also need to change the option selected in the Division dropdown.
Check post details
Once the subsection has been moved, all posts in it will also be moved to the new section.
To make sure that this change has taken effect, it is recommended to run a HR Post Update:
Click Setup, then Custom Processes.
Scroll down to HR Post Update and click Execute Process.
Click Yes.
Once this is done, check the details of the posts in the subsection that has been moved:
Click Admin Menu, then Post Setup.
Search for the post and click on it.
Click Edit in the Basic Details section.
If the post's place in the organisation structure is incorrect, click Change.
Select the correct section and click Save.
