Pay & Allowance job titles incorrect

This article explains how the job titles are displayed on the standard Pay & Allowance report.

Written by Cristiana Ghinea

⚠️ Important: When running the Pay & Allowance report from the Standard Reports menu, the job titles displayed will always be the employees' current post title at the time the report is run.

This means that even if an employee is scheduled to be transferred to a new post in the future, the post title on the report will be their current one.

Example

Transfer in the future

John is currently an employee in the Lifeguard post and is scheduled to be transferred into the Caretaker post starting with 01/09/2026.

If you run the report prior to 01/09/2026, even if the date on the report is 01/09/2026 or past this date, John's post title will be displayed as Lifeguard.

If you run the report on 01/09/2026 or past this date, the title will be Caretaker.

This depends on the day you run the report, not on the start/end dates on the report.

New employment in the future

Mary is a pending started whose employment as an Agency Teacher starts on 01/09/2026.

When running the report, no matter the date, Mary's title will be displayed as Agency Teacher. This is because it is her only post title; she does not have any current employment to be displayed.
