Absence start and end times

If you intend to use the Arbor integration to submit absence and leave data to your MIS, to allow you to arrange cover for your absent staff, it is strongly recommended that you enable absence and leave start times.

  1. Click Setup and then Settings.

  2. Click System Settings and select Global.

  3. Search for Record Start And End Times for Absences.

  4. Check the Boolean option and select True from the dropdown list.

  5. Click Save.

To make the start and end times mandatory when adding leave:

  1. Click Setup and then Settings.

  2. Click System Settings and select Global.

  3. Search for Set Absences Start and End Times as Mandatory.

  4. Set the Boolean value to True and click Save.

šŸ“Œ Note: Once 'Set Absences Start and End Times as Mandatory' is set to true you will need to check the Part Day checkbox next to the ā€˜First Date’ and ā€˜Last Date’ fields for the ā€˜Start Time’ and ā€˜End Time’ fields to appear respectively. The fields expect the 24 hour format e.g. 13:00 or 1300.

Match staff members

To ensure that staff members get matched correctly you will need to add their correct NI number both in Access Education People as well as Arbor.

The NI number is a mandatory field that you will need to fill when adding any new starter to the system.

To amend an NI number:

  1. Go to the employee's profile and click the Person tab.

  2. Click Profile.

  3. Click Edit in the Profile area.

  4. Amend the NI Number field and click Save.
